Kitui West Parliamentary aspirant Maluki Kitili has refuted rumours that he will be running on a Jubilee ticket on the oncoming by-elections which will be held in March this year.

While addressing his supporters on his Whatsapp group dubbed, “Maluki Kitili For MP 2018”, the youthful aspirant assured his supporters that he is still contesting for the seat on a Wiper Party ticket as he had stated before when he launched his political aspirations.
Mr Maluki has insisted that the Wiper must hold nominations for the ideal candidate to run on the party ticket in the oncoming Kitui West by-elections,which will be held on March 26th 2018, following the announcement by the IEBC earlier this week.

“Dear all, I have read the above analysis and more so the conclusions.  For the avoidance of doubt let me state unequivocally my party of choice is wiper and look forward to participating with my competitors in a free and fair nomination process. Thank you.” Maluki Kitili posted on his Whatsapp group earlier today.

The youthful former NEMA director, and the son of Hon Nyiva Mwendwa; the former Kitui Women Rep:- a veteran political figure who held the Kitui West parliamentary seat for decades before losing it to the late Francis Nyenze in the late 90s, made public his intentions to vie for the Kitui West MP seat last month.
Among other candidates eyeing to run on the Wiper Party ticket are Vethi Nyenze, the deceased Kitui West MP; and Fredrick Kimanga, a former personal assistant to the Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and a former Kitui County powerful director from the previous regime.
Other aspirants who have declared their interest for the seat, which was declared vacant after the former MP Hon Francis Nyenze succumbed to cancer late last year, are: local business man Tonny Mbiti, Nairobi-based financial consultant Ben Mbai, local entrepreneur Elijah Kilonzi (Ikonge), Lawyer Benjamin Musyoki, August 8th election runners-up Mutiso Leli, youthful Dennis Mulwa, and former KRA employee Benedict Muasya Mutiso.
